Royal Intel Monthly Report
Release 2608D is a large certificate with 11,964 sailings across 12 points tiers. The mix is still heavily Caribbean-led, but this month also keeps a meaningful spread into Mexico, Alaska, Mediterranean, and Asia. Average sailing length is 5.4 nights, essentially unchanged from July 2026, so the month is not being driven by longer itineraries. The bigger story is volume: this release adds 1,244 sailings versus the prior month.

The first practical breakpoint remains 800 points, where the offer set starts with one-guest cruise fare sailings. The first two-guest balcony breakpoint stays at 1,200 points. That matters because the lower tiers are still structured around fare coverage rather than cash-style extras, while the mid tiers begin to layer in free play and better cabin access.
The low end is thin. The 800-point tier has 176 sailings, and 1,200 points has 546. Both are small compared with the middle of the chart, which starts to thicken at 1,500, 2,000, 3,000, and 4,000 points. The 3,000-point tier is one of the larger entry points for two-guest balcony-style value, with 1,305 sailings. The 9,000-point tier is the largest single tier in the set at 1,418 sailings.
Cabin mix follows the expected progression. Balcony is the most common cabin type overall, but the lower tiers lean on GOBO and GTY inventory, while the upper tiers shift into fixed Balcony, Junior Suite, Grand Suite, and Owners Suite inventory. At 15,000 points, the offer set is entirely Junior Suite. At 25,000 and 40,000 points, the mix moves into Junior Suite and Grand Suite. At 70,000 points, the certificate is squarely in suite territory, led by Owners Suite and Royal Suite.
The strongest tier this month is 70,000 points. Its best sailing is Mariner of the Seas on a 10 Night Greece, Italy & Croatia cruise from Barcelona, with $5,000 Freeplay attached. That tier also carries the broadest premium suite mix and the highest average top-score profile in the release.
The weakest tier is 800 points. Its best sailing is Voyager of the Seas on a 7 Night Alaska Advenighture Cruise from Seattle, but the tier’s overall score profile is the lowest in the release. It is still useful for Alaska and a few Mexico and Caribbean sailings, but the inventory is narrow and mostly interior or oceanview GOBO.
The 4,000 and 6,500 tiers are worth watching together. Both sit in the same general cabin band, but 6,500 adds a much larger Junior Suite presence. That makes 6,500 the cleaner step-up if the goal is to move from balcony into suite inventory without jumping all the way to 15,000.
Caribbean dominates with 8,090 sailings, followed by Mexico at 1,729. Alaska is the most important non-warm-weather region at 469 sailings, and Europe is present but limited at 123 sailings. Mediterranean and Asia are both active enough to matter, but they remain secondary to Caribbean and Mexico volume.
The best-value region this month is still Alaska at the lower and middle tiers. It shows up early, scores well, and appears repeatedly in the top-five lists for 800 through 4,000 points. Mediterranean becomes more practical once you reach 1,500 to 2,000 points, where the itinerary mix starts to include stronger summer Europe sailings rather than only a handful of outliers.
Compared with July 2026, this release has 1,244 more sailings. That is the main historical change. Average free play is also up by $450.5 per sailing, weighted across tiers, and that increase is not just a mix effect: per-tier free play changed in several shared tiers.
The biggest free-play gain is at 4,000 points, up $100 per sailing from prior month. The 3,000-point tier also rises by $100 per sailing, while 2,000 and 1,500 points each gain $50 per sailing. Higher tiers are flat on free play versus the prior month: 6,500, 9,000, 15,000, 25,000, and 40,000 all hold their prior amounts. The 800 and 1,200 tiers still have no free play in either month.
Net: this is a larger release with the same basic structure, modestly better mid-tier free play, and the same breakpoint logic at 800 and 1,200 points.

Why This Month Matters
Most of this month sits in Caribbean (8090), with departures led by Miami, Florida (1647). That shapes the kind of certificate month this is.
For most players, the biggest practical step up looks like 6500 to 9000 points.
Month Shape
Europe opens at 1200 points, Alaska at 800 points, and longer sailings at 1200 points.
The strongest overall tier is 70000 points, while the biggest jump in practical value comes at 6500 to 9000.
That mix makes this month feel more like Caribbean (8090) than a broad all-destination month.
Historical Comparison
This certificate has 1,244 more sailings than July 2026
2026-08 has 1,244 more sailings across all tiers than July 2026. Average free play is +$450.5 across the certificate, but the bigger change is how much smaller the sailing list is overall.
