Release 2608A is a larger certificate than July 2026, with 14,430 sailings, up 3,710 sailings month over month. The mix is still heavily Caribbean-led, but the list is broad enough to matter for Alaska, Europe, Asia, and transatlantic hunters. Average sailing length is 5.4 nights, essentially flat from 5.3 nights prior month.
The main breakpoint this month is still the same: 600 points is the first two-guest tier, and 1,200 points is the first balcony two-guest tier. That is a step down from July 2026 on the two-guest entry point, which sat at 800 points. Balcony entry is unchanged at 1,200 points.
Caribbean dominates with 9,701 sailings, followed by Mexico at 1,910. After that the list thins out quickly: Mediterranean at 593, Alaska at 578, Asia at 522, and Australia at 386. Europe is present but small at 176 sailings. That matters because the strongest value in this release is not evenly spread; it concentrates in a few regions and cabin types.
By ship class, Oasis leads with 2,767 sailings, then Radiance at 2,638, Voyager at 2,324, Quantum at 2,032, and Freedom at 1,690. Vision is also well represented at 1,520 sailings. Icon is present but tiny at 62 sailings. The practical takeaway is that this certificate is still built around mainstream deployment, not a narrow premium-only set.
The lower tiers are still interior-heavy. At 400 points, every sailing is Interior - GTY, and the list is mostly Mexico with some Caribbean and one Alaska option. At 600 and 800 points, Interior - GTY remains the core cabin, but Alaska starts to show up more clearly, and 800 points adds a small number of Oceanview - GTY and Balcony - GTY sailings.
The first balcony-heavy step is 1,200 points. From there, the mix expands into Balcony - GTY and Oceanview - GTY, with Caribbean still the largest region but Alaska, Asia, and Mediterranean becoming more visible. By 1,500 points, Oceanview - GTY slightly outweighs Interior - GTY, and balcony remains a meaningful share. At 2,000 points and above, Balcony - GTY becomes the dominant cabin type, and the list starts to behave more like a real premium-cabin certificate.
Above 6,500 points, the certificate shifts decisively into balcony and suite territory. At 6,500 points, the mix is Balcony and Junior Suite. At 9,000 points, Junior Suite becomes the larger share. At 15,000 points, the certificate is entirely Junior Suite. At 25,000 and 40,000 points, the mix moves into Grand Suite with some Junior Suite at 25,000. At 70,000 points, the list is suite-only and includes Owners Suite, Royal Suite, Aqua Theater Suite, and a few higher-end suite types.
The best-value tier this release is 70,000 points, but not because it is the most accessible. It is the strongest on raw score and itinerary quality, led by a 17 Night Spain & Morocco Transatlantic on Mariner of the Seas from New Orleans with $5,000 FreePlay. The tier also includes multiple transatlantic sailings, Mediterranean sailings, and several Alaska options.
The weakest tier is 400 points. It is limited to 20 sailings, all Interior - GTY, and the best option is a 7-night Southbound Alaska & Hubbard Glacier sailing on Anthem of the Seas from Seward with a $50 cruise fare for 1 guest. That is a useful low-end unlock, but it is not broad enough to compete with the mid-tier value.
Compared with July 2026, free play is up across the certificate, but the more important detail is that the increase is not uniform. Shared tiers changed at the tier level in several places, with the largest gain at 4,000 points, where free play rose by $100 per sailing to $400. The 3,000-point tier also rose by $100 per sailing to $250, while 2,000 and 1,500 points each gained $50 per sailing. Lower tiers at 600 and 800 points still have no free play in the comparison set.
The mix also shifted toward lower tiers in volume. That is why the certificate feels larger overall while still keeping the same basic breakpoint structure. Readers should focus on the tier they actually play, not the weighted average.
If you are chasing entry-level value, 600 points is the first two-guest threshold and 1,200 points is the first balcony threshold. If you are chasing destination value, Alaska is already practical at 400 points and becomes more useful at 600 and 800 points. Europe becomes practical at 800 points, where Explorer of the Seas appears with a 7 Night Italy & France Cruise. The premium end is strongest at 15,000 points and above, where suite inventory becomes the main story.

Why This Month Matters
Most of this month sits in Caribbean (9701), with departures led by Miami, Florida (1945). That shapes the kind of certificate month this is.
For most players, the biggest practical step up looks like 4000 to 6500 points.
Month Shape
Europe opens at 800 points, Alaska at 400 points, and longer sailings at 800 points.
The strongest overall tier is 70000 points, while the biggest jump in practical value comes at 4000 to 6500.
That mix makes this month feel more like Caribbean (9701) than a broad all-destination month.
Historical Comparison
This certificate has 3,710 more sailings than July 2026
2026-08 has 3,710 more sailings across all tiers than July 2026. Average free play is +$342.0 across the certificate, but the bigger change is how much smaller the sailing list is overall.
