Royal Intel Monthly Report
Release 2605A is broad at the low and mid tiers, with 13,273 sailings across the certificate and an average length of 5.5 nights. Caribbean inventory dominates every tier, but the month still reaches into Mexico, Alaska, Asia, and a small number of Europe and Mediterranean options. The practical takeaway is simple: this is a Caribbean-first release with enough long-haul exceptions to matter, especially once you get into the 1,200-point band and above.

The release also shows a clear cabin progression. The 400, 600, and 800 tiers are mostly interior-only or cruise-fare-only structures. Balcony access starts to appear at 1,200 points, and by 1,500 and 2,000 the mix shifts toward two-guest offers with free play attached. Higher tiers continue that pattern, with junior suites and balconies becoming more common at 9,000 points and above.
The first meaningful breakpoint is 400 points. That is where Alaska appears for the first time, but only in a very small sample: 12 sailings total, with the best option being Ovation of the Seas on a 7-night southbound Alaska & Hubbard Glacier itinerary from Seward on 2026-08-28. The offer is only $50, so the route is attractive, but the tier itself is thin.
The next breakpoint is 800 points. Europe becomes practical here, with Explorer of the Seas on a 7-night Greek Isles cruise from Athens on 2026-08-24. This is also the first tier where the mix starts to broaden beyond the core Caribbean and Mexico lanes in a meaningful way, though Alaska remains the stronger practical use case.
At 1,200 points, balcony GTY inventory opens up. That matters more than the raw free play number because it changes the cabin floor. Ovation of the Seas in Alaska and Brilliance of the Seas in the Mediterranean both show up with balcony GTY options, and the tier becomes the first one where a casino cruiser can reasonably target a better cabin without jumping into the much higher point bands.
The strongest tier by the release metrics is 9,000 points. It has the best top-end score and the best average value among the higher tiers, led by Serenade of the Seas on a 7-night Alaska Inside Passage sailing from Vancouver on 2026-07-26. The same tier also surfaces Spectrum of the Seas in Asia with junior suite inventory, which gives it more than one path to value.
The weakest tier is 400 points. It is not unusable, but it is narrow. The sailing count is only 12, the mix is heavily Mexico-weighted, and the free play is modest at $50. The Alaska option is the standout, but there is not enough depth to call the tier broadly strong.
The biggest free play drop versus the prior release is at 40,000 points, where average free play falls by $2,429.3 to $70.7. That is a sharp reset at the top end. The 25,000-point tier also drops hard, down $1,428.9 to $71.1. In contrast, the 9,000-point tier holds flat at $750 average free play, which is why it reads as the cleanest value band this month.
Compared with April 2026, this release has 3,077 more sailings overall, but average free play is down by $698.9. That combination matters: there is more inventory, but the certificate is less generous on average. The lower tiers are where the growth sits. The 4,000-point tier adds 464 sailings, the 2,000-point tier adds 440, and the 1,500-point tier adds 432. Even the 600-point tier appears for the first time in the comparison set.
The practical read is that 2605A is wider, not richer. If you want the best balance of cabin quality, destination breadth, and free play, the center of gravity sits between 1,200 and 9,000 points. Below that, the offers are thinner. Above that, the free play declines sharply relative to the prior month.

Why This Month Matters
Most of this month sits in Caribbean (9237), with departures led by Miami, Florida (1899). That shapes the kind of certificate month this is.
For most players, the biggest practical step up looks like 6500 to 9000 points.
Month Shape
Europe opens at 800 points, Alaska at 400 points, and longer sailings at 800 points.
The strongest overall tier is 9000 points, while the biggest jump in practical value comes at 6500 to 9000.
That mix makes this month feel more like Caribbean (9237) than a broad all-destination month.
Historical Comparison
This certificate has 3,077 more sailings than April 2026
2026-05 has 3,077 more sailings across all tiers than April 2026. Average free play is -$698.9 across the certificate, but the bigger change is how much smaller the sailing list is overall.
