You disembarked with a certificate and the app shows nothing

You've tapped through the app three times looking for it. The casino host mentioned it on the last sea day, Guest Services swore it posted before you left the ship, and now you're home in the Cruise Planner and there's nothing there. No email. No banner. No offer tile. So the natural read is that RC lost it.

Usually it didn't. You're hunting for a certificate in a place it was never going to appear, because in Club Royale, 'certificate' isn't one object with one delivery path. It's three separate instruments wearing the same word, and the one players most often report as flat-out 'missing' is the one that never sends an email at all.

One word, three instruments

RC hands out three distinct offers and calls all of them a certificate. That's the whole trap.

There's the instant onboard cert, earned when you cross the tier-point threshold inside a single sailing and delivered as a QR code while you're still on the ship. There's the annual tier comp, gated to your calendar-year status and posted after year-end. And there's the silent account drop, which arrives with no onboard trigger and no notification, appearing only if you go looking for it in the offers portal.

Three earn triggers. Three expiration clocks. Three places they surface. RC never lays them out in one screen, so players treat 'my certificate' as a single thing and then can't understand why it behaves inconsistently from cruise to cruise.

Why 'did my certificate post yet' is the wrong question

The question assumes there's one delivery event to wait on. There isn't. The right question is which of the three you earned, because the answer tells you where to look and how long you have.

If you crossed the point threshold onboard, you already have it: it was the QR code, and the clock started ticking the day it issued. If you're waiting on your tier comp, no amount of refreshing the app in March will help, because it doesn't post until after the year closes. And if it's the silent drop, the app will never tell you anything. It just sits in the portal until you happen to open the right page. 'When will it post' is the wrong frame for all three.

The three certificates, side by side

Here's the map RC doesn't publish in one place. Each row is a different instrument, and the columns are the five things that actually change your next move: how it's earned, when it dies, where it shows up, and how you turn it into a booking.

The two that catch people are the annual comp (no point in checking before year-end) and the silent drop (no email ever, so it only exists if you check the portal).

Walking one certificate from earn to booking

Say you sail Symphony in the spring and cross the point threshold on day five. The QR code posts to you onboard. That's the instant cert, and its roughly 30-day window starts now, not when you get home, so if you sit on it for a month deciding on dates, it's gone before you book.

Separately, you finish the year as Signature. That comp doesn't exist yet in the spring. It posts after year-end, it's a balcony, and checking for it in March produces exactly the empty screen that sends people to Guest Services convinced something broke.

And then a certificate you don't remember earning shows up in the portal in the fall with no email attached. That's the silent drop. Same person, same account, three certificates, three completely different timelines. Miss which is which and you either let the 30-day one expire or you burn a week waiting on one that isn't due for months.

What changes once you know which one you earned

Knowing the type turns 'where's my certificate' into a two-second answer. QR means check onboard, book within the month. Tier comp means wait for year-end, then look. Silent drop means open the portal, because nothing else will tell you.
